The stories of four girls taken on by the Youth Protection Directorate: a small, anxious girl (Cathy, 6) arrives in a new foster home; a chaotic pre-teen (Keyla, 12) is transferred to a group home where she becomes much more radical as she gets know some wilder teenagers; a rebellious teenager (Mégane, 16) ends up in a youth detention center after running away; and a timid young woman (Manu, 18) moves into an apartment on the day she becomes a legal adult. Their solitary fates come together at a reception honoring the Bilodeaus, a foster family where they have all stayed at one time or another. It is, for each of them, an occasion for a reunion which they won't soon forget.
