Alex (Tommy Dewey) scoops up eligible women from an online dating site, which he created. His psychoanalyst sister, recently separated Valerie (Michaela Watkins) tenuously follows him into the singles pool, pulled into the wake of his slacker arrogance. Valerie's teenaged daughter Laura (Tara Lynne Barr) is more self-possessed and grounded than them both, on which Alex and Valerie have a bird's eye's view -- the three of them live in the same house breathing in this uniquely rarified air.
