The story of the infamous Roman Emperor Caligula. The film depicts his journey from a promising young ruler to a tyrannical and insane despot. After being appointed emperor, Caligula quickly descends into madness, engaging in extreme and depraved behaviors. His reign is marked by sadistic cruelty, lavish extravagance, and rampant corruption. As his actions alienate those around him, including his closest allies, Caligula's power begins to unravel. The movie culminates in his inevitable assassination, brought about by those who can no longer endure his reign of terror. The film is notorious for its explicit content and unflinching portrayal of the excesses of ancient Rome.
