Bullets or Ballots

In a desperate attempt to break the stranglehold that organized crime has over city government, Detective Johnny Blake (Robinson) feigns a fight with his captain, which gets him thrown off the police force. Blake offers his invaluable services to a suspicious mob, and he stays undercover until he identifies the true criminal mastermind, 'Bugs' Fenner (Bogart), and gets the evidence to bust the racket wide open.
