Bonne pomme

Gérard (Depardieu), is fed up at being badly treated by his in-laws. He abandons everything, including his wife, to pursue his passion -- operating a car-repair in a small village 120 kms south of Paris. Directly across from his garage is a charming inn run by the magnificent Barbara (Deneuve). She's vivacious, mysterious, disconcerting and unpredictable. Naturally, sparks soon begin to fly! Sadly, Gérard's family track him down and a hitherto deeply-hidden family secret surfaces...
