Filmmaker Lawrence Côté-Collins reconnects with her aggressor in prison. She seeks to understand, forgive, and support a man in pain. Billy is schizophrenic, and his most severe crisis resulted in two deaths. Their prison-based epistolary friendship sheds light on the truth about this mental illness, which had neither been diagnosed nor treated.
