The movie brings us back to the roots of two monumental changes: the explosive growth of Hydro-Québec with the building of the La Grande complex and the powerful rise of Indigenous activism. It's a clash of two completely different ways of seeing the world. In 1975, Quebec is caught up in the momentum of the Quiet Revolution, dreaming of shaping its own future by becoming a major energy player in North America. At the same time, up North, young Inuit and Cree come together in a historic stand to defend what matters most to them: the richness of their land and the culture that's deeply connected to it. At the center of this struggle is the James Bay project, the biggest construction site in North America back then.
