Info
Fourteen years after three-year-old Zoe Paddington vanished near her Seattle home, her parents, lawyer Laura and doctor Richard, are still affected. They befriend Garwin, the now-retired FBI chief investigator of the case. While Richard focuses on overseas work, Laura remains obsessed with finding Zoe. In a support group for relatives of missing persons, she meets her boyfriend, Jacob, who encourages her to move forward. As she starts to let go, Laura believes she sees Zoe in Rebecca, a volunteer at a women's shelter. A key clue is a matching birthmark. A hurried DNA test confirms Rebecca as Zoe, reuniting mother and daughter. Yet, when Richard returns, he doubts Rebecca's identity, fearing a dangerous scam. This tension threatens their already fragile relationship.
