Amaram

Achootty (Mammootty), a humble fisherman, dreams of a brighter future for his daughter Radha (Maathu), hoping she will become a doctor through education. His aspirations crumble when Radha falls in love with her childhood friend, elopes, and marries him. Initially, Achootty rejects his son-in-law, refusing to speak to Radha, though he quietly admires the young man's hard work as a fisherman. Publicly, Achootty taunts him to prove his worth by catching a shark. When the son-in-law ventures alone into the deep sea and doesn't return, suspicion falls on Achootty. Amidst a stormy night and accusations, Achootty risks everything to search for him, ultimately rescuing him from a wrecked boat, though the ordeal leaves Achootty feeling betrayed by those around him.
