Against the Wild

Susan Wade is the mother of Hannah and Zach, two children who are growing up too fast. She is a devoted mom, so it's her worst nightmare when the plane that the children are on crashes. Fortunately, the kids emerge from the plane unscathed, as does their Alaskan Malamute. The kids and the dog now just need to survive long enough to get home. This wilderness survival story has a touch of Jack London but with a more contemporary feel. The siblings may not always get along, but they need to learn how to rely on each other and become resourceful if they're going to last long in this forbidding territory. From building shelter to finding food, they have their work cut out for them.
