A World Without Women

Sylvain lives in a sleepy resort town mostly populated by men, so he takes notice when a mother and daughter from Paris arrive for vacation. Charmed but also intimidated by them, he tries to be a good host. Meanwhile, the mother's aggressive flirting only embarrasses the daughter. Reminiscent of Rohmer and beautifully shot on 16mm, the film exudes an easygoing allure.
