A Sudden Case of Christmas

An American couple brings their 10-year-old daughter, Claire, to her grandfather Lawrence's hotel in the Dolomites, Italy. Traditionally, they visit for Christmas, but this year, they arrive in August because the parents are planning to separate and want Lawrence, who has a special bond with Claire, to break the news to her. Upon learning that there will be no family Christmas this year, Claire insists on celebrating Christmas immediately, complete with flying in her other grandparents. She collaborates with Lawrence to organize activities aimed at reuniting her parents. However, their efforts backfire, causing unexpected strain on her grandparents' marriage instead.
