Long disconnected from her aspirations and the world, Yoko has spent years confined to her small apartment, shunning social contact. The unexpected death of her distant father compels her to venture outside for the first time in two decades, as she must travel home with her cousin. Yet, a twist of fate leaves her stranded at a highway rest stop, devoid of a cell phone and the means to afford public transport. With her father's funeral on the horizon, Yoko finds herself with no alternative but to rely on the kindness of strangers for a lift.
