Moving is always a significant new step for a couple. For Claire and Ryan, it represents a second chance to save their marriage. They hope to have found the perfect suburban house to establish their perfect little love nest. The spacious grounds are ideal to receive guests and eventually raise a family. The only hiccup is the strange landlord, whose hygiene leaves much to be desired. The change of scenery, however, doesn't quite go as planned. As Claire sinks into her own sorrow, Ryan loses himself in an affair with a co-worker, which he's desperately trying to keep secret. He's unaware that a stranger knows all about his extramarital activities. Hidden in the shadows, Gerald, the crazy-eyed landlord, observes his tenants' every move through his elaborate surveillance system. Like a hunter observing his prey, he's silently setting the scene for the perfect crime.
