12 Monkeys

Inspired by the film of the same name, decades into the future, the world is in chaos - most of the population died as the result of a mysterious plague, and those members of humanity who were immune have scattered, simply trying to survive. James Cole becomes part of an experimental program when his name is uttered by a scientist on a corrupted recording, and he is sent back in time to find her. Together, they work to find a way to stop the plague from ever spreading, but not everyone they encounter wants the plague prevented.
