Caught in the tense yuppie maelstrom of New York City's East Village in the 1980's, three struggling teenagers and their equally struggling parents face drugs, alcohol and social conflict in their search for a meaningful family life. When the troubled young Jude is sent from one broken family in Vermont to another in New York, he, his parents and his friends all learn the hard price of growing up and the true value of family.
