    Chan découvre un complot lorsque la mine d'or à faible revenu semble soudainement devenir rentable, et des tentatives sont faites sur la vie du propriétaire. Pour aider à résoudre le crime, Roland Winters en tant que "Charlie Chan" est assisté par son fils, Victor Sen Yung en tant que "Tommy Chan", et le complice comique, Mantan Moreland en tant que "Birmingham Brown", le chauffeur/butler de Charlie.
