Le directeur d'une station de radio locale met en avant un chanteur (Bing Crosby) qui devient immédiatement un succès auprès de ses auditeurs. Le problème est que le jeune chanteur ne semble pas être trop sérieux concernant sa carrière, ce qui devient une préoccupation pour la direction de la station.
