Lakeboat

Based on writer David Mamet's experiences as a graduate student, this coming-of-age tale follows Dale, an Ivy League student interning on the "Seaway Queen" one summer. Exposed to a seafaring lifestyle, Dale befriends a half-dozen members of the world-weary crew and learns about the unexpectedly rich - and occasionally tragic - lives they lead.
