    The Guardian

    Reviewed by eraserhead18@

I caught this movie on a plane ride back from vacation and my first thought was, what a relief I didn't pay to watch this string of clichés! The main plot points are all borrowed from the classic film "Officer and Gentleman", with some elements also taken from movies like "TOP GUN" and "MEN OF HONOR" (starring Cuba Gooding Jr.). It's the same old clichés, just repackaged in a U.S. Coast Guard setting and featuring trendy actors like Kutsher, clearly aimed at a younger audience who hasn't seen the originals. Honestly, I think I've just seen too many movies in my life, and I'm getting tired of all these remakes.
