Hi there, I caught an early screening of THE FAMILY last week. Based on the trailers, I was expecting a hilarious and offbeat comedy, and that's exactly what I got. It's a blend of comedy and serious mafia film that's definitely worth checking out. At first glance, it seems like your typical comedy: the movie is funny with witty dialogue, the story of the dysfunctional mafia family is entertaining, and the actors are well-cast in their respective roles. Each character is amusing in their own way, and you can really sense the family bond that unites them. However, the ending is what really makes it worthwhile, as the film takes a turn that feels like you're watching a 1940s gangster flick – dark and violent. Overall, it's a great piece of entertainment that's worth your time. If I could draw a comparison, it's a bit like the movie ANALYZE THIS, which also starred ROBERT DE NIRO.
