A film shot in 1963, with many flaws, low budget, and minimal sets. Some scenes are quite comical, like the striptease scene, the nymphomaniacs, etc. To be honest, I'm not sure why these scenes were filmed. It's hard not to draw parallels with "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"; although not of the same caliber, this "Shock Corridor" caricatures the psychiatric world. The plot is interesting, as well as the character transformation.
A definitive B style movie by Samuel Fuller. Peter Breck gets himself committed in order to get a scoop on a murder and happens to stumble into the nympho ward. Unintentionally, a blast and worth the price of admission just to observe the craziness. How do they come up with this junk!?
