This is a movie that's better to rent than to spend10 on a Saturday night. Compared to the previous films, there was something well-crafted, intelligently shot, and a coherent story. But in this latest Rambo, we find more gratuitous and truly unnecessary violence. While the scenes depict realities, we shouldn't be forced to watch them like voyeurs. I wouldn't say this movie should be banned, as the landscapes and underlying story are good. However, the way it's presented is regrettable, with excessive violence that serves no purpose. It's a movie to rent.
Did you watch the trailer? I assume you have internet access... The English version really showcases the gory scenes. I'm sorry, but once again, the French trailers provide the worst version, with editing and French translation that are typically "made in France".
You say we don't have to see what's going on... but go on a little trip there and then you'll have something to talk about ;).
