The runtime of this movie is unjustifiably long, with too many repetitive scenes. It could easily be trimmed by at least 30 minutes. The subtitles were often difficult to read, which was frustrating. Some of the scenes involving animals were unpleasant, particularly the geese in a container of blood - I couldn't grasp the intended message there. I was tempted to leave before the end, which is unusual for me, but I stayed. However, this is a movie best forgotten.
Poetic allegory isn't your strong suit!!! This movie is fantastic. As for the geese in a container full of blood, it's so clear: violence, war, brutality. It's amazing that some people don't get it... such an unforgettable movie!!!
