    A classic French crime thriller that's sadly not made anymore. Directed by the undisputed master of noir who influenced many modern directors like Quentin Tarantino, this movie is a gem from 1960s cinema. It's got great suspense, a tight script, and that signature Melville atmosphere, with crisp dialogue and groundbreaking cinematography for its time. Basically, it's from the golden age of French cinema when it was at its peak and could hold its own against the best of American films. An essential watch for any cinephile!
