    3:10 to Yuma

    Reviewed by tjinc@

The western genre has long been one of my favorites, so it was interesting to see how the filmmakers would go about putting a western together in this decade - and I'm a Russell Crowe fan. I liked him in this film - you could see some goodness in him throughout the film in spite of the darkness of his character. I thought the ending, therefore was somewhat predictable, but what disturbed me about the film was the amount of gratuitous violence. This is typical of movies these days and it makes you wonder about the effect this has on moviegoers.
